Man Is Sick Of ‘Lawn From Hell’, Then Builds DIY Mower To Tackle The Stubborn Grass

When Michael Schley’s ankle started to give out after 30 years of mowing his “lawn from hell”, he decided that something had to be done.

Mowing companies wouldn’t touch the stubborn grass scattered all over his steep hill of a yard. Then, Michael realized he needed to take matters into his own hands. He needed to build his own lawn mower.

He gathered 3 string trimmers, 4 wheels, a wooden base, a long rope, and an extension cord to create his DIY lawn mower.

With his special invention, he was able to take on the 30 degree slope of his yard that his leg injuries wouldn’t allow him to handle with a regular machine.

In the video below, posted on June 20, 2016, Michael demonstrates how he uses his creation. He starts with the lawn mower at the bottom of the hill and uses the long rope to pull it up as it cuts through the grass below.

With this specialized device, Michael is able to use his arm strength, rather than put pressure on his ankles and knees like he used it.

He continues pulling the lawn mower up and down, showing just how pristine his grass looks thanks to his beloved creation.

Check out this creative invention in the video below, and please SHARE if you think Michael found the perfect solution to troublesome lawns and uneven land!
