If you don’t already know what the Make-A-Wish Foundation is, you might just feel your heart warm up like never before after watching this clip.
The foundation, started in 1980, helps sick children get one of their greatest wishes granted. Whether that be an unimaginable treehouse in their backyard, a family trip to a foreign country, or a trip to Disneyland, a child’s wish is their command.
They help thousands of kids every year, putting much needed smiles on their faces during their battles against life-threatening illnesses.
This bright 4-year-old, Ellie Bolger, has a tumor wrapped around her spinal cord. When her parents found out that Make-A-Wish was going to grant their little girl’s dream next, they wanted to make sure that they got the wish right, but also that they got it all one tape.
In the end, the sweet little girl decided she wanted to go to Disneyland, who wouldn’t? Her reaction to the news was adorable and sweet, as she kissed her mom and smiled ear to ear. But that didn’t compare to when she finally made it to Disneyland, dressed up in her princess outfit.
Ellie was surprised with a real life-sized princess meet-and-greet which was even more priceless.
There’s no dollar amount to your child’s smile, especially when they’re usually struggling.
