Hearing a big crash nearby is scary no matter what, but imagine how horrifying it would be if the crashing sound was followed by someone shouting, “Call 911!”
That scary scenario came to life for Alex Lee, a man who lives in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania.
Alex heard a loud crash followed by his friend’s screams to call 911. He rushed toward the sound to discover an SUV had plunged 100 feet over a steep hillside, nearly landing on the train tracks below.
The scariest part? There was a 2-year-old inside the vehicle.
Alex rushed to help the toddler, but, amazingly, he had already pulled himself out of the car. Unbelievably, he seemed entirely unfazed by what had just happened. Alex couldn’t believe it, but he immediately picked up the boy and started carrying him to safety.
The toddler’s mother had also fallen over the hillside. Alex brought the toddler up to the top of the hill, then rushed back down to help his mother.
She is more injured than her son, but is in the hospital recovering. Hopefully, she’ll be back home with her baby soon.
This scary story could have had a much more tragic ending — but somehow, everyone involved survived.
