Twin Sisters Surprise Doctors By Giving Birth At The Same Hospital Just Hours Apart

About one out of every 30 babies born in the United States is a twin. Twins are often fascinating and slightly mysterious to those who are not twins.

Many twins share a special almost psychic connection and lead parallel lives full of coincidence. Twenty-one-year-old twins Natalie and Leanne Paulson defied the million-to-one odds and gave birth to their babies at the same hospital in adjacent rooms, just hours a part.

Leanne was a week overdue and went into labor on Natalie’s due date. A few hours later Natalie went into labor. Their labors progressed in a similar fashion and were almost identical aside from length.

Leanne’s labor lasted forty hours and Natalie’s twenty-one hours. Both of their babies were even positioned in the wrong direction!

These twins, who are not identical despite looking similar, gave birth within hours of each other. Leanne gave birth to Carter, who weighed eight pounds and eight ounces, at 6:17 p.m. and Natalie gave birth to Mila-Rose, eight pounds two ounces at 12:02 am!

I am sure their adorable babies will also share a special bond!

There are so many stories about the magical bond between twins. I wonder if Natalie and Leanne were surprised or if on some level, they thought this might happen – I guess this is a question only they can answer!
