No one was surprised that Armie Hammer nabbed his first Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Call Me By Your Name, but you may be surprised at how far the star’s come since his first red carpet interview with E! News back in 2010.
The 31-year-old attended the New York premiere of the film with his new bride Elizabeth Chambers, whom he married the same year. The couple now has two children, Harper Grace and Ford Armand Hammer.
The David Fincher-directed film was the actor’s first big break, but he’d appeared in Gossip Girl, Veronica Mars and Desperate Housewives.
In The Social Network, Armie played twins on a mission to take down Mark Zuckerberg, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss.

And be sure to check out Armie’s interview with E! News from The Social Network junket where the talented actor discusses how he worked to get into character, into “rowing shape” and how his wife brought cookies to set.
The star even joked about how older women kept coming up to him because they recognized him from his days on Gossip Girl!
Now eight years later, Armie’s new film has been a critical darling since it debuted at the Sundance Film Festival last January. Hammer and co. have been nominated for dozens of awards, and hope to win at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards and the 2018 Independent Spirit Awards. Luca Guadagnino‘s movie, adapted from André Aciman‘s best-selling novel, is set in the Italian countryside in the early ’80s. And the romantic coming-of-age drama, starring Golden Globe nominee Timothée Chalamet in the lead role, is expected to be a major player throughout the 2018 award season.
