Owner Files Paperwork For Dog To Run For Governor And Says Canine Cares For All Except Squirrels

Have you ever heard of a pet dog running for office? Well, perhaps it’s time for you to meet Angus P. Woolley!

Angus’ owner, Terran Woolley, looked into some laws and rules related to running for governor in Kansas and decided to put his best friend in the spotlight.

According to KYW Philadelphia, “After reading through some bylaws and requirements for Kansas governor, he realized his dog, Angus P. Woolley, really could run for office.”

However, despite Terran’s research, the Board of Elections isn’t having it.

Kansas’ director of elections Bryan Caskey, explains, “Officially, we will not allow a dog to run for governor,” adding, “There’s several laws that reference that the governor has to be an individual or a person, and so we are relying on that, and if a dog comes in to file for office, we will not allow that.”

Although Angus can’t legally run, Terran still has no problem sharing the qualities that would hypothetically make his dog a winner.

In the video below, Terran explains, “I do believe that he is a caring, nurturing individual who cares about the best for humanity and all creatures, other than squirrels.”

What do you think of Terran trying to help his beloved Angus run for Kansas governor?
