Alleged Shoplifter Comes Back To Store And Says Sorry After Owner Posts Video Of Her Online

The owner of a Pearle Vision franchise store got one step closer to justice after a woman allegedly stole frames from him.

According to KFOR Oklahoma City, Pearle Vision Yukon owner Torry Elston posted a video on his Facebook page. It showed a woman who appeared to be stealing a pair of frames. “If anyone can identify this lady, I will give them a free pair of glasses of their choice,” Torry wrote on his post.

Torry said his security cameras caught a woman trying on a few frames. She put one on her head and walked out of the store with it.

Torry said the woman stole the frames. He posted the video online hoping people would share it and locate — or at least identify — the woman.

Surprisingly, the very next day the woman returned to the store. KFOR reported that she walked in, put the frames she allegedly took on the floor. She said “sorry” and that it was an “accident.”

She then left. Torry wasn’t convinced. “Literally, they have a tag on them,” he said to KFOR. “It’s not that easy to take off and, if it was an accident, why would you take the tag off?”

He hoped that the video would lead to the discovery of the woman’s identity so he could press charges.
