If you are a parent or take care of any children, it’s always important to know how to act in case of an emergency.
Luckily, the hosts of The Doctors have you covered! On their show, they discussed how something called a “Mother’s Kiss” can help clear a child’s nostril and prevent any future injury.
In the video below, Dr. Andrew P. Ordon explains, “For this technique, it is called a ‘Mother’s Kiss,’ but anybody can do it,” adding, “If you feel like you have something stuck in one side, you occlude the good side, you take a breath of air, you put your mouth over their mouth, and blow a puff of air — and the idea is that that foreign body on that lodged side should pop out.”
This parenting trick forces the air you blow into the child’s mouth to push the object out of his or her nose, or at least loosen it inside the nostril. It’s relatively simple and you wont have to use any scary tools to remove the item stuck inside — which can definitely scare kids off!
