Man Convinced He Got Girlfriend Perfect Valentine’s Day Gift Sees His Mistake On Concert Tickets

Valentine’s Day is upon us, and folks all over the world are celebrating love today by surprising their significant others with cute gifts and showering them with affection. While there’s no wrong way to show your love today, people find creative ways to do so.

A man in England named Duncan Robb thought he got his girlfriend the perfect early Valentine’s Day gift: bargain tickets to see her favorite band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, in concert in Belfast. Tickets came in the mail and the couple bought plane seats for their trip.

But just a few days before the concert, Duncan’s girlfriend read the name of the band on the tickets. The passes were not to see Red Hot Chili Peppers, but to see Red Hot Chilli Pipers — a band that calls itself “the most famous bagpipe band on the planet,” according to the group’s website.

NPR says that cover band plays tons of recognizable classic rock staples, but has yet to play any song by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The couple still went on the trip to see the bagpipe band, despite the mix-up, and can now laugh about their experience. Duncan even posted a short clip of the concert on Twitter to prove that the mistake was, indeed, real!

Please SHARE if you’re glad Duncan and his girlfriend still had a good time!
